Bryce’s Earn Second Straight USTA Mixed Doubles National Championship

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, the husband/wife duo of James and Erin Bryce, teamed together to win the USTA Mixed Doubles National Championship, last October from the Omni Resort on Amelia Island.

Competing in the husband/wife division, the Bryce's competed to win a straight-sets decision over Chris and Julie Childress, 6-3, 6-1, in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, the finals featured a grueling two hour and 45 minute-match that concluded with the Bryce's owning a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Vishnu and Michele Almeyda.

Last year, the Bryce's defeated Larry Saheim and Renee Tharpe of Peachtree City, Ga. in the final match to win the USTA Gold Ball trophy. The tournament, which took place October 14-16, featured a clay court and a Bryce triumph, as the pair ended with a solid three-set win of 6-3, 2-6, and 6-2.
