No.18 Men’s Tennis Drops 8-1 Decision to No.5 Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis (3-3, 0-2 SSC) fell to the No.5-ranked Lynn University Fighting Knights (4-0, 1-0 SSC), 8-1, Saturday afternoon from the Perper Tennis Complex.

The Sunshine State conference tilt saw the Green and Gold drop each doubles contest, as well as five of six on the singles side.

The No.21-ranked doubles duo of Matt-Nicholson Lewis and Victor Lozier provided the Lions their best shot at victory, but Lynn's top team of Amaury Van Haelen and Vlad Cirla skated by with an 8-4 win.

On the singles side, Saint Leo battled but only Lozier was able to pull out a victory as he downed Luca Pavanelli in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

The Lions will return to the court bright and early Sunday morning as they challenge NAIA's the St. Thomas Bobcats. Opening serve is set for 9 a.m.
