Men's swimming claims four B-Cut times on final day of FIT Invite


MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's swimming team saw four individuals earn B-Cut standard times on the final day of the Florida Tech Invitational.

Hunter Bains, Luka Vulic, and Lucas Dengler-Harles all claimed B-Cut marks in the 100 Free race. Bains, who won the prelims, took second in the finals with a time of 44.72. Vulic followed in at fourth with a 45.37 time, and Dengler-Harles came in fifth with a time of 45.43.

Jan Urbaniak also claimed a B-Cut time in the 1650 Free race. He finished first in the race with a time of 15:44.80.

The Lions also claimed a clean sweep of the 200 Butterfly as Logan Lamb, Christopher Paiva, and Dylan Earnheart went 1-2-3. Lamb finished with a time of 1:56.48, while Paiva's second place time was 2:06.98. Earnheart came in third with a time of 2:09.75.

The men's team lost to Florida Tech in the team scores, 466.50-331.5.


The Lions take a break from action until January 7, 2017, when they return to the pool for the Tampa Relays.
