Men's swimming grabs two first-place finishes on Day 1 of FIT Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's swimming team took home two first-place finishes and three B-Cut times on the first day of the Florida Tech Invitational.

On day one of the meet, the Lions saw Lucas Dengler-Harles win the 500 Free with a B-Cut time of 4:27.51.

Saint Leo also took the title in the 400 Medley Relay with Milosz Mikicin, Jan Dahrendorff, Hunter Bains, and Dengler-Harles. They finished with a  time of 3:20.09.

In the 200 Free Relay, Mikicin and Bains were joined by Christian Cioffi and Luka Vulic to finish second with a B-Cut time of 1:21.92. The Lions also finished fourth with Dahrendorff, Kane Klimczak, Casey Klaus, and Michael Southward with a time of 1:26.85.

Bains earned a personal B-Cut time as well, finishing fifth in the 50 Free with a time of 20.68.

NEXT UP

The Lions continue action in the Florida Tech Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 19 with a 10 AM start. The men will compete in the 400 IM, the 100 Butterfly, the 200 Free, the 100 Breaststroke, and the 100 Backstroke.
