Winter Park, Fla. (December 8, 2007) – The Saint Leo University women’s swim team knocked off Rollins College 105-96 in a dual meet on Saturday in Winter Park, Fla.  The Lions won the meet despite losing both of the relays, as Saint Leo had seven individual winners.

Erin Hotchkiss (So., Tampa, Fla.) had a big day in the pool for the Lions, as she was a winner in three events.  Hotchkiss won the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:39.88, and added wins in the 500-yard freestyle (5:39.44) and 100-yard butterfly (105.20).  Freshman Alisha Adams (Fr., Conway, S.C.) was also victorious in two events, as she claimed victory in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.44) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.04).

Also putting in winning performances for the Lions was Erin Lucas (So., Steubenville, Ohio) in the 100-yard freestyle, as she finished in a time of 58.15, while Mindy Pierce (Fr., Germany) won the 200-yard IM in 2:24.42.

Saint Leo will return to the water on January 5 with the Daytona Invite in Daytona Beach, Fla.
