Saint Leo, Fla. (November 30, 2006) – Saint Leo University sophomore swimmer Julie Carusone (So., High Springs, Fla.) has posted times that rank in the top-10 in the nation among Division II swimmers in 2006-07.

Carusone swam the women’s 200-meter individual medley in a time of 2:10.6 on November 17 in a dual meet at Rollins.  The time has ranked the sophomore eighth in the nation this year.

In addition, she swam the 100-meter breast stroke event in a time of 1:06.84, which was good for the ninth fastest time in that event this year.

Carusone was an All-American in four events at last season’s NCAA Division II Swimming National Championships.  She has already helped the Lions to set a number of team records for fastest time during the 2006-07 season, which is the second season ever in program history.
