Winter Park, Fla. (November 17, 2006) - The Lions swim teams opened their second season ever by winning six events and setting nine new school records in a dual meet loss to Rollins College.  Rollins won the women's meet 116-84, while completing the sweep with a 129-49 win in the men's meet.

Julie Carusone (So., High Springs, Fla.) won both of her events (200IM and 100 Breast), and Erin Hotchkiss (Fr., Tampa, Fla.) was also a double winner (200 Free & 100 Fly).  Travis Robbins (Jr., Dunellen, Fla.) and Kirsten Schroeter (Fr., Ocean, N.J.) were also winners in the 500 Free and 100 Backstroke, respectively.

Robbins set a new program mark in the 500 and 1000M Freestyle events, while Schroeter also set a ne wstandard in the 100M Backstroke.  Kyle Gramm (Fr., Naples, Fla.) set a new record in the 50M Freestyle, while Brian Kiessling (Fr., Mt. Pleasant, N.C.) is the Lions' new record holder in the 100M Backstroke and 200M Individual Medley.

SLU also set new program records for the men's 200M Medley Relay and the men's 200M Freestyle Relay.
