Ohata scores first career goal in men’s soccer’s setback to FIT

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo newcomer Keisuke Ohata scored his first career goal in the second half to cut the Panthers lead, and eventual final score, 2-1 at University Soccer Field Wednesday night in a Sunshine State Conference matchup.

The Lions dropped their third straight conference game to Florida Tech 2-1 Wednesday night. Two new Lions connected for the lone Saint Leo goal in the 73rd minute. The Lions outshot the Panthers 16-12 and held a slight edge in corners 7-6.

  • Stian Tsesmetsis gave the Panthers an early lead in the 2' before Evan Enders added in the 52'.
  • Florida Tech's keeper, Christian Moerch, recorded six saves on seven Saint Leo shots-on-goal.
