SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University head men's soccer coach Keith Fulk has announced the signing of Javeim Blanchette to join the Lions' men's soccer program in the fall of 2012.
"Javy is a talented player," said Fulk. "He brings a new level of creativity and flare to our second forward position. He also brings experience with the Olympic and National Teams of St. Kitts where he scored some key goals."
Blanchette becomes the third announced signing for Fulk's squad, as he joins local talents Matt Campbell and Joshua Davis.
A native of St. Kitts, Blanchette has competed and succeeded at the highest amateur levels. Competing at Washington Archibald High School, the forward excelled at Elizabethtown College. As a freshman Blanchette was selected All-Commonwealth Conference Second Team. En route to the honor, he started 18-of-19 games while ranking second on the club with seven goals and six assists.
He followed with a standout sophomore campaign as he was selected All-Commonwealth Conference First Team and All-Region Second Team. Collecting starts in 15-of-17 games, Blanchette led the squad in scoring with eight goals, including four game-winners.
Blanchette also saw significant time with the St. Kitts National Team.
