SAINT LEO, Fla. – Junior midfielder Bruce Cutler continues to be recognized for his tremendous play during the 2009 season as he named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-South Region Second Team, it was announced Wednesday.
The Inverurie, Scotland native finished the year as the second leading scorer for the Lions with 14 points (Five goals, four assists), in addition to playing in 14 of 15 contests. He totaled one game-winning tally and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the penalty kick area.
In addition to his all-region selection, Cutler was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team last month. For his career, Culter is now responsible for 12 goals, eight assists and 32 assists. He is responsible for two game-winning tallies and is a perfect 9-for-9 from the penalty kick region.
Nine of the 11 second-team selections are members of the Sunshine State Conference, including a pair from Tampa and Rollins.
