Pauwels earns SSC Men's Lax Offensive Player of the Week

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Kyle Pauwels was named the Sunshine State Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season following his six-goal performance against No. 2 Limestone, for games played during Feb. 27-March 5.

Pauwels tallied a season–high six goals on Saturday in the Lions' loss to No. 2 Limestone. He finished with an 87.5 shot-on-goal percentage and a 75-percent shot percentage. In the third quarter of the game, Pauwels score three straight to cut Limestone's lead to just 11-7.

This marks the third week that Saint Leo has represented in the SSC Player of the Week honors. Pauwels and Thomas Tatarian earned offensive and defensive honors following the Lions' upset win over No. 7 LIU Post, while Mitch Wilson was named Specialist of the Week following is performance over Chowan.

Saint Leo returns home on Saturday, March 11 as they take on Westminster (Utah) at 2 p.m.
