Caiazza Tabbed Deep South Conference Freshman of the Week

WINGATE, N.C. – Saint Leo freshman Chris Caiazza was named Deep South Conference Freshman of the Week for the period ending March 4, league officials announced Monday.  The conference accolade marks the first of Caiazza's career.

The Lindenhurst, N.Y. native tallied four goals in two games last week for the Lions, which included scoring the game-winning goal in overtime against DSC opponent Rollins.  Caiazza scored two goals against the Tars while also causing a turnover.  He then netted two goals against third-ranked Limestone to cap his week.  Currently, the freshman ranks third on the team in goals and points scored.

Joining Caiazza on the weekly award list were Catawba College senior attackman Braden Artem as the DSC Offensive Player of the Week, while Mar Hill's Dylan Price was given the nod as Defensive Player of the Week.
