AS A SOPHOMORE (2010)
Despite having his season cut short due to sickness, McGuinness still positively impacted the Lions’ offense…A sparkplug for the Lions, he amassed four goals and two assists for six points on 21 shots…McGuiness also added 47 ground balls and forced five turnovers…All of his scoring came in three contests, as he posted two goals against Pfeiffer (3/7/10), two goals against Merrimack (3/13/10) and two assists against Catawba (2/28/10)…He also accumulated a season-high eight ground balls in the Lions 8-7 victory over Mars Hill (3/20/10).
AS A FRESHMAN (2009)
McGuinness made an immediate impact for the Lions appearing and starting in all 14 games…The midfielder scored two goals and added three assists for a five-point season…He also led the squad in ground balls with 68…He secured three or more ground balls in all but two contests…He tallied the first goal of his career in a multiple-goal effort against Wingate (04/17/09)…He posted his first career assist against Grand Canyon (03/05/09) and scooped up a career-best 12 ground balls against Mars Hill (03/27/09)...He was named Deep South Conference Player of the Week on March 16, 2009.
