AS A SENIOR (2010)
Deep South Conference Player of the Week once…All-Deep South Conference Honorable Mention…Baruch was an offensive juggernaut for the Lions, starting all 14 games played…He stockpiled 28 goals and added four assists for 32 points…He blasted 72 shots and cradled 32 ground balls…He registered eight multiple goal games, including two, three-goal games, two, four-goal games, and one, five goal game…He had career day against in-region opponent Merrimack, scoring five goals and amassing seven ground balls…He also tallied four goals and one assist in the team’s 18-9 win over St. Andrew’s (3/5/10)…Baruch finished the season ranked 32nd nationally in goals-per-game.
AS A JUNIOR (2009)
Baruch made an immediate impact in the Lions’ lineup appearing in 13 games and making nine starts…The Essex Community College transfer was fourth on the team in scoring with 34 points (2.62 p/g)…He collected the third most goals with 25 (1.92 g/g) and tied for fourth with nine assists (0.69 a/g)…He blasted 56 shots (4.31 s/g), 45 of which were on goal…He accumulated a shooting percentage of .446, posted a pair of game-winning goals, scored two man-up goals and picked up 32 ground balls…He tallied two multiple goal games and had ten games of two or more points…He delivered game-winners against St. Michael’s (03/18/09) and Florida Southern (04/04/09) and had a career day against Mars Hill (04/19/09) in the Deep South Conference Final victory...Baruch scored a career-best five goals and totaled six points on 10 shots in the contest…His three assists at Rollins (04/08/09) also set a career mark for a game, while his six ground balls against Mars Hill (03/27/09) set a season and career high...He garnered All-DSC Tournament honors.
Honorable mention All Conference in high school… In his freshman year at CCBC Essex, he was a starting attack man with 34 goals with 20 assist… During his sophomore year, he was second line mid fielder scoring 30 goals with 10 assists.
Baruch was born on June 17 in Denver, Co… Marketing major… His hobbies include playing and watching sports, kayaking and snowboarding… His career goals include getting his degree in Marketing and winning a national championship… His desire to win is his best asset to the team… He favorite athletes are, John Elway, Peter Forsburgh and Alan Iverson… His favorite team is the Denver Broncos… He chose Saint Leo for the opportunities the school offers, the environment and the great tradition that the school has… Son of Nancy and Ted Baruch...
