AS A JUNIOR (2009)
Groat had solid all-around season for the Lions appearing and starting in all 14 games…He concluded the season with a career-high three goals scored, while adding an assist for four points…He totaled 37 ground balls and won 53 of 93 faceoff opportunities (.570)…He picked up a career-high of nine ground balls against (03/03/09) in a 17-8 win over the Bulldogs and posted a career-best 12 faceoff wins in the same game…The midfielder also delivered a  goal in each of the last three contests of the season, including a pivotal goal against Mars Hill (04/19/09) in the Deep South Conference Tournament Final win.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2008)

Groat continued his steady play appearing in 14 of 16 games and totaling two points for the season…He was tied for second on the club in ground balls with a career-high 47 and led the team in faceoff’s won going 91-for-158 (.576).

AS A FRESHMAN (2007)

Groat made an immediate impact for the Lions appearing in all 15 games…He finished the season with two goals and two assists for a total of four points…The freshman scooped up 22 ground balls and won 12 of 21 faceoff’s…The midfielder had a .562 shot-on-goal percentage fired a career-high 16 shots.
