Saint Leo, Fla. (May 13, 2008) – Saint Leo University lacrosse player Brady Juelson (Sr., Palm Coast, Fla.) was named to the 2007-08 Deep South Conference Honor Roll, it was announced recently by league commissioner Steve Poston.  The Honor Roll included 10 student-athletes with each of the conference members represented.

Juelson, an International Studies major, played in 13 games in 2008.  He finished tied for second on the team with 47 ground balls as a junior.

The DSC Honor Roll included student-athletes with a minimum junior status and second year of academic residence at the host institution. The DSC Honor Roll member must possess a 3.20 or higher cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the fall 2007 term.

The 2008 season was the 15th year of competition for the Deep South Conference. In 2008, a regular season champion (Wingate) and a tournament winner (Mars Hill) were crowned.

Saint Leo finished 2008 with an 8-8 record overall and a 1-4 mark in the DSC.  The Lions upset No. 9 Wingate University in the semifinals of the Deep South Conference Tournament, marking their first-ever win in the post-season and earning a berth in the DSC Championship.  Mars Hill defeated Saint Leo 9-7 in the Final.
