Winter Park, Fla. (March 2, 2008) – Benjamin Brigham (Jr., Scituate, Mass.) scored five goals and added two assists to lead the Saint Leo lacrosse team (2-1) to a 17-5 road win over Rollins College (1-5) in non-conference action on Sunday in Winter Park, Fla.

In addition to Brigham's strong offensive performance, Chris Storrie (Jr., Syracuse, N.Y.) scored four goals and tallied a pair of assists in the win.  Ryan Pomponio (Jr., Garden City, N.Y.) added three goals for the Lions, while Kyle Marceau (So., Concord, N.H.) added three assists.

Saint Leo got its offense going early, scoring four goals in the first quarter and adding another just 26-seconds into the second to take a 5-0 lead.  Rollins answered with two of the next three goals, but Brigham and Storrie scored back-to-back to close out the first half and give Saint Leo an 8-2 half-time lead.

Storrie scored the first goal of the second half, but Rollins scored three unanswered to make it 9-5.  Lion freshman Evan Mills (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) stopped the scoring run for the Tars with a goal 1:13 from the end of the third quarter.  The Lions blew the game wide open in the fourth, scoring the final seven goals of the game to provide the final margin.

Saint Leo goalie DJ Garry (So., Greenwood, Ind.) made six saves in net to record the win (1-0).  Despite the loss, Rollins goalie Zach Cole made 16 saves for the Tars.

The Lions return home on Wednesday night to face Grand Canyon University at 7:00 p.m.
