MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Saint Leo men's golf senior Ryan Gendron climbed four spots after a second round two-under at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf South/Southeast Regional at the Robert Trent Jones 'The Shoals' course Tuesday afternoon. Junior Riley Goss slipped 15 spots after shooting an eight-over in round two of the regional.

Ryan Gendron fired off a two-under 70 Tuesday to position himself in the top six of the regional leaderboard. Gendron sank four birdies and 12 pars on the round to compile his two-round score of 141 (-3). Gendron's 70 tied his second round low at a regional which he accomplished during his rounds in 2014 and 2016.

In the individual pool, Gendron holds a four-stroke lead over the closest individual while he is tied for third heading into the final round of players that will look to advance on a non-advancing team. Gendron sits behind the no. 3 DII golfer Richard Mansell of Nova Southeastern (-7) and Carlos Leandro of Newberry (-5).

Riley Goss shot an eight-over 80 Tuesday to fall 15 spots on the individual leaderboard to 99th place. Goss holds a two-round total of 159 (+15) heading into the final round of the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional.

The nation's no. 1 Chandler Blanchet of West Florida, came in as the clubhouse leader after round two with a two-stroke lead over the no. 2 golfer in division two, John VanDerLaan of Florida Southern. Blanchet sits at 10-under while VanDerLaan is eight-under. Blanchet backed up his first round 66 with a second round 68 while VanDerLaan shot a 67 and 69 to hold at second.

No. 1 West Florida leads the team leaderboard after a second-round nine-under 279. The Argonauts flipped placed with No. 2 Lynn, who shot a one-over 289 Tuesday. West Florida will start the final day at 11-under as the Fighting Knights will start at three-under.

Riley Goss will kick off the final round ahead of teammate Ryan Gendron as Goss tees off the 10th tee at 10 a.m. ET as Gendron will take to the course at 12:50 p.m. ET off hole no. 1.
