PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.- After playing the final two rounds in the Guy Harvey Invitational tournament, the Saint Leo men's golf team finished with a score of 887. The Lions placed 10th in the tournament. The men finished round two with a score of 300 and round three with a score of 293.
Freshman Ryan Gendron lead the team with a one-under 71 in the second round and an even 72 in the third round for a final score of 217. The 18th place finish marked his first appearance of the 2013-14 year.
Senior Chaz Heinz and freshman Joey Savoie tied for 37th place in the tournament. Heinz earned a 78 in the second round, but came back with an even par in the third. Savoie finished with one-over par in the second round and ended the third round with a score of 76.
Sunshine State Conference rival Barry University took home the tournament win.
The Saint Leo men's golf team returns to action on Monday, October 28 when they travel to Orlando, Florida to participate in the McDonough Cup.
