Men's Golf Stays Steady in Ninth Place at Round Two of 'Bash at the Beach'

MYRTLE BEACH, Fla. –The Saint Leo men's golf team wrapped up the second round of the 'Bash at the Beach' on Monday afternoon with a team score of 301. That brings the team total for the tournament to 607 and in ninth place.

The Lions were led for the second day in a row by senior Nick Brothers. Brothers tallied a second round score of 74 to put his tournament total at 145. Also firing a 74 was freshman Trevor Joseph. Joseph shaved three strokes off of his score from yesterday and is now sitting at a 151. Chaz Heinz continued his steady play in round two by carding a 76. After shooting a 74 in the opening round, Heinz' total is now 150 for the tournament. Codi Daudelin shaved seven strokes off of his first round score which was good enough to put him in the Lions' top four. Rounding out the lineup was Austin Grey who followed up his first round score of 84 with an 80 in the second round. 

The Lions are currently in ninth place and 18 strokes out of eighth place George Mason whose tournament total is at a 589 right now.

Leading the pack for the tournament is Radford who shot an even more impressive 274 in round two. Their total team score for the tournament is 555.
