Adam Tigert joined the Saint Leo men’s basketball program in the Fall of 2012 and brings Division II and International basketball experience to the Lions.

In coming to Saint Leo, Tigert has reenergized a successful coaching career in basketball after serving as an assistant coach at Lewis University until 2008.  Prior to his time working with the Flyers, Tigert was also the assistant at Ripon College from 2002-2004.  His first coaching position, served from 2000-2001 was alongside Saint Leo Head Coach Lance Randall working for the Pertemps Birmingham Bullets in Birmingham, England.

A 1998 graduate of Webster University, Tigert was a four-time All-Conference member as he served as team captain for three years.  In helping the Gorlocks to a conference title and an NCAA Tournament appearance, he was also a two-time MVP and a two-time Johnny Orr Leadership Award winner.

A successful entrepreneur, the native of Oshkosh, Wisc. also serves as president or owner of The Sports Shed, a private sports facility; and Outdoor Specialties, a Midwest landscaping company, both based in Oshkosh.
