Men's basketball drops a heartbreaker in final seconds to PBA

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University men's basketball team returned to the hardwood after 11 days off, and dropped a heartbreaker to Palm Beach Atlantic, 78-77, in the final seconds inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center Friday, Dec. 30.

"I am disappointed in this team and the effort they gave tonight," Head Coach Vince Alexander stated following the 78-77 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic Friday night. "The guys are still immature and came out here and didn't give it their all. To lose a 10-point lead going into the final media timeout, it is just very very disappointing to see when we get the support that we do and to perform like this, is unacceptable."

Justin Satchell led all scorers with 27 points on the night where he missed just three shots all night from the field (11-14). Satchell added 4-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc. He hauled in seven rebounds to tie for the team lead with Marcus Dewberry and Necdet Gurkan.
