Lions Drop a Tough One at #17/10 Barry, 102-75

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's basketball team saw their win streak come to an end as they dropped a tough road contest at No. 17/10 Barry University. The Lions fell 102-75 on Wednesday evening inside the Health & Sports Center.

Saint Leo would see four players score in double-figures in their efforts as Tyreece Brice led the team with 20 points, followed by Marcus Dewberry at 15, Caleb Stewart at 13 and Trey Griseck at 10. Stewart added team-high eight rebounds.

The Lions held their opponent to 36.0-percent shooting from the three-point land.

How It Happened…

1H | The Lions jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the opening three minutes of the game before falling behind to the Buccaneers. Barry consistently pushed their lead over Saint Leo before they got to a 16 point lead with 46-seconds left in the half. The Buccaneers had outscored the Lions 24-14 in the paint and have 20 fast break points to Saint Leo's six. The Lions are led by Tyreece Brice who has a half-high 13 points off the bench, as Saint Leo has the slight edge in that category outscoring Barry 19-11. | Barry 46-30 |

2H | Barry kept control of the game in the second half extending their lead to as many as 30 with 7:56 on the clock before going on for their 27 point lead. Dewberry would connect on 2-of-3 three pointers in the second half and went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line to finish the second half with 12 points.
