Kadima signs with pro team in Spain

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Former Saint Leo men's basketball standout Chim Kadima has been signed to a professional contract to play basketball in Spain.

Kadima will be playing for GBP Badajoz in Spain's EBA league.

"I am very happy for Chim. He will be a tremendous professional," said Saint Leo head coach Lance Randall. "He is extremely bright, disciplined, hard-working and always a team first guy. He was a pleasure to coach and be around during his tenure at Saint Leo. I am looking forward to following his pro career."

Kadima is the fourth Saint Leo basketball alumnus over the last three seasons to sign a professional contract. Spenser Mitchell '14 signed with Swords Thunder in Ireland's Premier League in early September, and Jordan Prais '10 and Marcus Ruh '13 previously signed contracts to play oversees.

Kadima joined the Lions prior to the 2012-13 season. He charted 485 points (8.0 ppg) over his two seasons in Green and Gold, and hauled down 209 rebounds (3.4 rpg). Kadima was second on the team in scoring as a senior with 356 points (10.8 ppg), and recorded 17 double-figure scoring performances in his senior season. He charted a career-best 26 points at home versus Florida Tech on Jan. 4, 2014, going 7-of-9 from the field and a perfect 10-of-10 at the stripe.

During his junior season, Kadima logged 12 points in Saint Leo's 69-67 exhibition win over the University of Miami on Nov. 2, 2012. Including his two seasons at Loyola University (Ill.), Kadima ended his career with 663 points and 278 rebounds.
