Saint Leo Earns Third Straight NCAA Tournament Bid and No. 2 Seed

Lions to face No. 7 seed West Alabama at Florida Southern on March 15 

SAINT LEO, Fla. –The Saint Leo University men's basketball team (23-8) learned Sunday night that the program has earned its third-consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament. 

The Lions earned the No. 2 seed in the South Region and will face West Alabama on March 15 at Florida Southern College. The Tigers are 17-10 this season and seeded No. 7. Game times have yet to be announced. 

West Alabama most recently lost to Valdosta State, 84-71, in the Gulf South Conference Tournament on March 6. 

Joining Saint Leo and West Alabama at Florida Southern are: the host Moccasins (No. 1 seed), Delta State (No. 3 seed), North Alabama (No. 4 seed), Tampa (No. 5 seed), Barry (No. 6 seed) and Tuskegee (No. 8 seed).
