Griseck Commits to the Lions

Trey Griseck (#22) will join the Lions in 2012-13

SAINT LEO, Fla. - Olympia High School (Fla.) standout basketball guard Trey Griseck has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Saint Leo University men's basketball program, Head Coach Lance Randall announced at the close of the recent early signing period in November.

"Trey is an excellent all around basketball player," Randall said. "He is one of the best shooters in the state and also possesses great length and athleticism. He is an extremely bright kid and comes from one of the best programs in Florida where he has excelled, playing for his dad, Mark. We are very excited to have Trey in our program. He is a high character kid from a great family and we are looking forward to coaching Trey and welcoming him and his parents, Nesa and Mark into the Saint Leo family."

Griseck averaged nearly six points and three rebounds playing for a highly talented Olympia team coached by his father Mark.  The Titans are loaded with talent and will see a number of players like Trey moving into the Division I and II ranks.

The 6-foot-4 guard also considered Rollins and Eckerd of the Sunshine State Conference, along with multiple Division I offers, including those from Kennesaw State, Liberty and Campbell.

Griseck will join the Saint Leo community when he begins classes in August of 2012.
