Lions Treat Wesley Chapel Youth to Free Basketball Clinic

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Reaching out to the local community, Saint Leo Men's Basketball Coach Lance Randall hosted a clinic for over 60 Wesley Chapel youth that was sponsored by the Wesley Chapel Athletic Association and held at the Marion Bowman Activities Center on Tuesday evening.

The first night in November served as an opportunity for the Lions' first-year coach to allow his completely rebuilt team to meet the Pasco County community as excitement builds for the start of the new basketball season.

During the free clinic the Lions divided into multiple stations that focused on the fundamentals of the game with each station being supervised by Saint Leo student-athletes.  A surprise visit from the NBA's Anthony Parker, who addressed the youngsters, helped to solidify a night that many will remember for a long time.

The Lions will next turn their attention to game action on the hardwood when they tip-off an exhibition with Florida Gulf Coast University on November 5.  The game will be played at Alico Arena in Ft. Myers and will tip-off at 8 p.m.
