SAINT LEO, Fla. – Originally listed as a road game, the Saint Leo men’s basketball team made some quick adjustments en route to a home 85-60 victory over Trinity College (Fla.) on Friday evening.

Playing at the Bowman Center because the Tigers had trouble securing a facility, the Lions watched senior Quentin Cullop bucket 18 points as he was one of three Saint Leo players in double figures.  Cullop was joined by Jeremy Jackson and Dominick Robinson as both contributed 10 points in the victory.

With Saint Leo in charge from the opening tip, it was a game that saw 14 Lions register at least one point, Saint Leo (7-2) hoisted up 73 shots and saw 33 of them pass through the net.  Of the 33 made shots, the most impressive feat was in the Lions’ 10 made three-pointers, with Cullop draining six.

Dominating nearly every additional stat, the Lions outscored Trinity 42-24 in the paint, 25-10 in points off turnovers, 17-8 in second chance and 32-6 in points off the bench.

The Lions will now turn their attention to their final game of the 2010 calendar year when they welcome Palm Beach Atlantic University into the Bowman Center next Friday night.  The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. tip off.
