SAINT LEO, Fla. – A small, but persistent line of showers settled over the Saint Leo campus late Saturday morning and dropped just enough rain to postpone the baseball team’s doubleheader against Valdosta State University as well as the men’s and women’s season debuts against Lynn University.

Despite the weather clearing around 2:30 p.m. the infield playing surface of Thomas B. Southard Stadium and the SLU Tennis Center’s hardcourts had too much standing water to safely try and play the scheduled contests.  The cloud cover forecast to remain for the rest of Saturday and Sunday would not allow for the facilities to dry in time, so the decision was made to call off the games.

All three events will be rescheduled for a later date.  The revised schedule will be updated on when a new date and time has been agreed upon.
