SAINT LEO, Fla. – For the third consecutive year, the Saint Leo University baseball team recently completed its annual holiday food drive where the foods collected helped fill the Catholic Charities pantry as everything collected was donated just in time for families to have full plates on Christmas.  The food drive, which is run in conjunction with the Saint Leo Turkey Tournaments, helps support local families and puts food on the table for those who are less fortunate.

The Turkey Tournaments are made up of local High School Baseball teams who compete in a three game round robin tournament.  This year the participating schools brought in 1,668 non-perishable food items.

The food donated at the admissions gate was given to Catholic Charities of Dade City.

Thank you to the following Tampa Bay Area High Schools who donated to this cause –
