COLUMBUS, Ga. – The baseball doubleheader between the Lions and Columbus State, scheduled for 1:00 p.m. has been cancelled due to snow and icy field conditions. Poor weather conditions, including three inches of snow, kept the tarp on the diamond.

Columbus State hopes the warmer weather and sunshine in the forecast for the remainder of today and tomorrow can melt away the snow and ice, making better playing conditions for Sunday. In shuffling the schedule, the two teams now look to play a doubleheader tomorrow with the first game starting at noon.

A result of Saturday’s cancelation, both Sunday’s games will now be broadcast on the Lions AudioCast Network and live play-by-play stats can be followed by clicking the stats link located on the schedule.
