Miami Shores, Fla. (February 8, 2008) – The Saint Leo University baseball team (2-2) had its game with Lynn University postponed in the top of the fourth inning, and heavy rains also forced the cancellation of the Lions’ scheduled game versus Barry later Friday evening.

The Lions will continue their game against Lynn tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at Nova Southeastern, followed by the Saint Leo-NSU game at 1:00 p.m., one-hour later than the originally scheduled start time.

With Lynn leading 5-0 in the top of the fourth inning and a runner on third with no outs, heavy rain forced umpires to call the game.  After the downpour, the field was deemed unplayable forcing the postponement of the game versus Lynn and the cancellation of Friday’s scheduled game versus Barry.

Saint Leo was originally scheduled to play at NSU tomorrow at noon, but with the postponement of Friday’s game versus Lynn, the start of that game was pushed back to 1:00 p.m. with NSU also now hosting the finish of the SLU-Lynn contest.
