Beard was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team…All Sunshine State Conference First Team…Daktronics All-South Region Second Team… NSCAA All-South Team First Team…Named Saint Leo Athlete of The Week (10/26/2009) once…She finished her Lions career on a high note playing and starting in all 16 games…She led the team in goals scored with 12 (0.75 g/g), including three multiple-goal games, as well as a hat-trick against Clearwater Christian (9/25/2009)… Beard also collected five points in the Lions 7-2 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic (10/06/09)…She finished the season with four assists and a team-best 28 points…She accumulated a team-best 31 shots-on-goal and registered one game-winning goal...In the SSC, she was third in points (28), sixth in shots (53), tied for second in goals (12), second in points-per-game (1.75), and third in points-per-game (0.75)…Nationally, she is ranked 36th in points-per-game (1.75) and 35th in goals-per-game (0.75)…For her career, Beard ranks first all-time in points with 123, first in assists (31), Tied for first in games played (73), and second in goals (46)…She also holds multiple single season and individual game records including assists in a season (12, 2008), shots (83, 2008), goals-in-a-game (4, vs. Clearwater Christian, 2008), assists (5, vs. Georgia SW, 2008), and points (9, vs. Georgia SW, 2008).
AS A JUNIOR (2008)
Beard had an outstanding junior campaign for the Lions making 21 appearances and starting 20 games…She led the team in goals scored with 17 (0.81 g/g), assists with 12 (0.57 a/g) and total points with 46 (2.19 pp/g)…She had four multiple goal games, including a season-high four goal performance against Clearwater Christian (08/28/08)…She followed it up with a five point game against St. Thomas (9/07/08) and career and season high nine point effort against Georgia Southwestern (9/12/08)…During the contest, Beard recorded five assists, which broke the SLU single-season assist record previously held by Sara Macko…She was second on the team with five game-winning goals, two of which were against SSC opponents…She led the team and conference in shots with 83 and shots on goal with 46…Her 3.95 shots per game ranked second in the conference as did her 2.19 points per games…She led the SSC in points and was tied in goals scored with 17…She ranked 15th nationally in assists per game (0.57) and 19th in points per game (2.19)…Her outstanding achievements on the field earned her multiple accolades including NSCAA/adidas All-America Second Team and NSCAA/adidas South Region First team…She was also named to the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District First Team, as well as NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America First Team…She was tabbed Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year and was an SSC All-Conference First Team member…Beard was named to the SSC All- Tournament team and tagged SSC Player of the Week on Sept. 15.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2007)
Followed up a strong freshman season with another solid performance in the 2007 campaign...Named Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference for the second consectuive season and was also on the NSCAA/adidas and Daktronics All-South Second Teams...Tied for the team lead with seven goals and led the team with career-highs of 11 assists and 25 total points...11 assists established a new single-season record for the Saint Leo women's soccer program...Appeared in all 20 matches, making 15 starts...Scored a pair of game-winning goals, including the goal that sent the Lions into the SSC Tournament Final with a 2-1 win over Nova Southeastern (11/2/07).
AS A FRESHMAN (2006)
Named Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference after a freshman season that saw her lead the Lions in goals with nine, and in points with 22…Beard also led the side with four game-winning goals…Registered a pair of assists in the SSC Tournament Final versus Tampa (10/29/06), and earned a spot on the SSC All-Tournament Team…Had her first career hat trick against Eckerd in a conference match (9/13/06)…Scored the game-winning goal with just 36-seconds remaining in regulation in a 2-1 win over Florida Southern (9/22/06)…Began her collegiate career in style, scoring both goals as a substitute in a 2-0 win over Eckerd in the season opening match (8/24/06)…Named SSC Offensive Player of the Week once as a freshman (9/17/06).
CAREER
Has been the top scorer for her club team at the Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 levels…Won the cup and league titles while with her Under-16’s club team.
