BRADENTON, Fla. – Fourth-seed No. 9 Saint Leo topped sixth-seed No. 30 Nova Southeastern 5-4 in the Sunshine State Conference Third Place Match on Saturday. Kristyna Jurkova's third singles three set win (5-7, 6-4, 6-1) clinched the team win, raising the Lions' overall record to 18-6. The NCAA South Region women's tennis postseason reveal will be showcased on the evening of Tuesday, April 24.
 
Third doubles, Sophie Vliestra and Kristyna Jurkova, registered an 8-0 decision in the Lions' only doubles win.
 
Down 2-1, Saint Leo earned wins from sixth singles, fourth singles, fifth singles and second singles for the comeback victory.
 
Andrada Gordan at six handed in a 6-3, 6-0 win followed by Madeleine Gauthier at no. 4 posting a 6-2, 6-3 decision. Fabiola Cardenas earned the team's fourth match point clinching a three set no. 5 battle; 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Kristyna Jurkova finished her 2-0 day finishing the three set rally; 5-7, 6-4, 6-1.
