SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team returned to No. 9 from No. 11 in Wednesday's Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II poll. Now 14-5, 5-3 in the Sunshine State Conference, the Lions added two wins to their tally last week defeating the then No. 22 Florida Tech (7-2) and Embry-Riddle (6-2).
In addition to the team selection, singles and doubles Lions surged the rankings. No. 29, no. 1 singles,
Marta Vicens Miquel climbed the charts from No. 57. In doubles, No. 1 duo,
Maja Pindelska and
Madeleine Gauthier enter the week at No. 21.
This week, the Lions travel to Eckerd on Wednesday, April 11 at 3:00 p.m. followed by senior day on Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. hosting Palm Beach Atlantic to close out the regular season.
