SAINT LEO, Fla. – After posting four wins on the week, Saint Leo baseball jumped to 10th in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) coaches poll.
 
The Lions (19-2, 6-0 SSC) defeated Bridgeport in all four games, outscoring the Purple Knights 50-28, including a wild Monday night 13-12 come from behind win at Thomas B. Southard Stadium.
 
Four Sunshine State Conference schools found themselves in the NCBWA top-25 rankings when the fourth week of rankings were released. Florida Southern holds the highest rank of fourth followed by Saint Leo (10th), Tampa (17th), and Palm Beach Atlantic (24th).
 
The Lions will return to SSC play Friday, March 16 when the Green and Gold travel to Tampa for a 6 p.m. first pitch. Saint Leo and Tampa will then play a scheduled doubleheader on March 17 with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
