SAINT LEO, Fla. –
Jake Gilmour and
Thomas Tatarian were named Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday for their against Queens (N.C.). The honor marks the third-time this season Gilmour and Tatarian have each received the conference accolade.
Gilmour cashed in the last lead change of the game, scoring 21 seconds in the second quarter, 3-2. He scored again 13 minutes later and assisted in the Lions' next goal by
Julian Taylor lending an 8-4 halftime advantage. Gilmour's third goal, team's 12
th, came four minutes into the fourth quarter.
Thomas Tatarian faced 43 shots on Saturday. The Redshirt-Junior goalkeeper snagged 17 saves on his way to tallying a .708 save percentage against the Royals. His work in the net kept Queens below his season goals against average at 9.17 to a mere seven.
