SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's tennis was seeded fourth among the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Coaches Preseason Poll on Thursday. Last year, Saint Leo finished fourth compiling a 10-6 overall record, 5-4 record in the SSC.

Sophomore Kristyna Jerkova returns to the court for the Lions. Jerkova earned Second Team All-SSC Single honors finishing 10-2 overall at Flight No. 3. She went 5-1 in SSC play after closing the season on a six-match win streak.

Sophomore Madeleine Gauthier has had an impressive individual fall season preparing for the Lions' 2018 season. Gauthier was ranked No. 18 in the South Region on November 17.

In addition to the returners, Saint Leo looks to No. 44 ITA National Ranked freshman Marta Vincens Miguel to impact the program.

The Lions season home opener on Saturday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. against State College of Florida will begin the play for Saint Leo in 2018.
