SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo men's tennis team drew No. 3 seed in the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Men's Tennis Coaches Preseason Poll on Thursday.
The Lions finished the 2017 season ranked second in the SSC, finishing with a 13-5 overall record, 6-1 mark in the conference.
Saint Leo returns
Jaime Bueno, College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American Third Team honor, ITA All-America – Singles (#17), ITA National and South Region Player to Watch, and First Team All-Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Singles, for his senior campaign.
Thomas Grinberg, ITA All-America – Singles (#5), ITA All-America – Doubles (#4), First Team All-SSC in Singles and Doubles for his No. 1 Singles going 6-1 in Sunshine State Conference play, returns for his junior season.
Junior
Vincent Suillerot, who was named ITA All-America – Singles (#16), ITA All-America – Doubles (#4) along with First Team All-SSC Doubles and Second Team All-SSC Singles is also featured on the Lions 2018 roster.
Saint Leo's season home opener is set for February 8 against Gustavus Adolphus starting at 3:00 p.m.
