LEXINGTON, Ky. – Saint Leo volleyball sophomore Anna Garrett was named a 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Honorable Mention All-America, announced Tuesday, Dec. 5 by the committee.
 
This season, Anna Garrett was named to the AVCA All-South Region First Team, the All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team, and earned three SSC Setter of the Week honors this season.
 
Garrett finished her sophomore year with 10 double-doubles, with assists and digs, where she scooped up 214 digs and dished out 1,089 assists this season. Her 1,089 assists were added to her freshman total of 694 for a career total of 1,783, good enough for fifth all-time in program history.
 
The Merritt Island, Fla. native, tallied 77 kills and served up 27 aces this season while she averaged 9.55 assists per set, leading the Lions to a 23-7 record and a 16-4 mark in the SSC. Garrett helped pace the Lions to a national ranking in 11 of the 12 weeks. She also helped Saint Leo make its fifth-straight NCAA appearance, advancing to the South Region Semifinals.
