SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's cross country jumped back into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II coaches poll on Wednesday, on the strength of their NCAA South Region performance.

The Lions are ranked No. 20 in the organization's pre-championship poll, after receiving no votes in the October 25 ranking.

Saint Leo won its first NCAA South Region Championship on Saturday to earn a fourth straight trip to the NCAA championship. Among the teams the Lions finished ahead of in Saturday's NCAA regional meet was Lee University (Tenn.), who previously held the top spot in the South Region ranking and were slotted at No. 15 in the national poll. The Flames fell to No. 23 in Wednesday's pre-championship ranking.

Both Saint Leo men's and women's cross country will compete in the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on November 18 in Evansville, Ind.
