SAINT LEO, Fla. – Individual postseason awards from the Fall tennis season continue to pour in for the Lions on the court. Three Saint Leo Lions were showcased among the top singles tennis athletes in the nation this week by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Under the direction of head coach
Chad Berryhill, the Lions were represented by two from the men's program, #3
Thomas Grinberg and #15
Vincent Suillerot and one from the women's program, #44 Marta Vicens Miquel.
Â
"I am very excited for these three players to be ranked in the initial national rankings," says Berryhill. "Thomas and Vincent are only in their second semester and Marta in her first semester competing for our program, so, it is great to see them making an immediate impact in Division II collegiate tennis. I am expecting even bigger things from them this Spring and I have seen the hard work they have put in throughout the Fall. There is a lot to be excited about with these three playing for the Lions!"
Â
Saint Leo 2018 team competition starts on Thursday, February 8 at 3:00 p.m. at the Saint Leo Tennis Center against Gustavus Adolphus. Â
