SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo senior Natalia Garriock was tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for her performance in last weekend's Florida Tech Panther Invitational, when SSC weekly honors were announced Monday.

Garriock was a part of a combined four NCAA qualifying marks in both individual and relay events during the Panther Invite.

She recorded NCAA "B" cut times in both the 100 Butterfly (54.50), where she finished in first place, as well as in the 100 Freestyle (51.05), where she was second. Garriock's time in the 100 Free was a mere .02 seconds behind the first place finisher. She also had a "B" cut time in an extraordinarily fast 50 Freestyle swim, where she finished fourth with a time of 23.46.

Garriock also swam for Saint Leo's first-place 200 Medley Relay team that finished with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:43.25.

The SSC Women's Swimmer of the Week award is Garriock's first of the season, and the fifth of her career. She is the second Saint Leo women's swimmer to earn the accolade this season, following Cecilie Holten who received the honor back on November 6.

Saint Leo men's and women's swimming returns to the pool on Friday, Dec. 15, when the Lions travel down the road to Tampa, Fla., to compete in the three-day University of Tampa Spartan Invitational.
