SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo Baseball will be holding a pair of instructional camps in December and January, designed to give players 12-and-older a chance to work in their skills under the expert eye of the Saint Leo baseball staff.
LIONS HITTING CLINIC (December 7-21, 2017)
The Lions Hitting Clinic will give younger players a chance to get individualized help with their swing during the Lions Hitting Clinic, which starts Tuesday, Dec. 7.
The clinic will run three weeks on Tuesday evenings on December 7, 14, and 21, lasting an hour-and-fifteen minutes at the Saint Leo Baseball facilities. There will be two sessions each Tuesday, with the first session starting at 5:30 p.m. and running until 6:45 p.m., and the second session starting at 7:00 p.m. and lasting until 8:15 p.m.
Players will get a chance to work with the Saint Leo Baseball coaching staff to learn proper hitting techniques and to develop hitting skills. Campers will be introduced to a number of drills to help find consistency in their swing.
The Lions Hitting Clinic is targeted toward players age 8 to 18, both boys and girls, and the cost for the three-week clinic is $100. Players will need to bring their own bats, helmet, and athletic shoes.
Enrollment is limited to 25 players in each session.
BASEBALL DAY CAMP (January 14, 2018)
Saint Leo baseball will offer a series of positional clinics on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, giving players a chance to focus on specific skills that need work!
The day begins with the Pitching and Catching Camp from 10:00 – 11:45 a.m., followed by Hitting Camp from 12:15 – 2:30 p.m., and concludes with Defensive Camp from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
All three positional clinics take participants through the fundamental mechanics in each skill area, following the same routines that Saint Leo baseball players follow on a daily basis. All are designed to bring improvement to a player's individual abilities, as well as provide drills and knowledge that will allow the players to continue to development long after the camp has concluded.
Cost is $60 for one clinic, $100 for two clinics, or $125 for all three clinics being offered over the course of the day.
