|Title:||Fitness Center Director / Strength & Conditioning Coach|
A knowledgeable and driven member of the Saint Leo Department of Athletics, Stuart Hart serves as the Lions' primary Strength & Conditioning Coach in addition to overseeing the SLU Fitness Center operations on the lower level of the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
Hart is the first full-time Strength and Conditioning coach for the Lions as he develops fitness and nutrition programs for all 19 teams, including the Lions' Track teams when they debut in the Spring of 2014.
The Saint Leo alumnus works directly with the Lions' coaching staffs, athletic trainers and student-athletes to develop individualized programs that included testing protocols and nutritional information in addition to strength & conditioning.
Initially serving a dual-role in the departmert and taking over an undersized and outdated facility, Hart's role expanded to a full-time position involved with improving the well-being of the Saint Leo student body, faculty and staff.
The Toronto, Canada native's involvement and constant improvement to the facility has helped elevate it to one of the more elite training facilities in Pasco County. Thanks to Hart, the facility has increased its size and also offers memberships to people outside of Saint Leo University as it functions nearly identical to any other nationwide fitness facility.
He is also responsible for any additional administrative duties that are required in operating the SLU Fitness Center and its 33 student-workers, four interns and an assistant.
