At the NEC office, Bean was the primary contact for volleyball, women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, women’s swimming, women’s lacrosse and softball. She was involved with event management for 11 different NEC championship events, serving as the NEC’s lead administrator at the men’s golf and softball championships. Among her duties at the NEC office, Bean coordinated social media strategy for the conference, and served as color commentator for the NEC Women’s Volleyball Tournament Championship broadcast.

Prior to that, Bean was a Sports Information Coordinator at Tennessee Tech in the Ohio Valley Conference during the 2012-13 academic year, where she was the primary contact for volleyball, women’s basketball, and softball, and the secondary contact for football, soccer, men’s basketball, and men’s and women’s golf. In addition to her sport-specific duties at Tennessee Tech, Bean also worked at creating a social media campaign plan and implementing social media/new media guidelines for Athletics, assisted in developing Tennessee Tech’s 2013 WNIT bid, and served as an advisor to Tennessee Tech’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Bean hails from Clarion, Pa., and is a 2012 graduate of Juniata College, where she was a student-assistant in the Sports Information Office for four years and a member of Juniata’s perennial top-10 women’s volleyball program. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in sport management from California University of Pennsylvania, and she attended the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) Women's Leadership Symposium in May 2013.

Bean resides in Wesley Chapel with her husband, Evan Halteman, a four-year letterwinner on Juniata’s men’s volleyball team and an All-American middle hitter on the 2009 Division III National Championship team.
